Domain-driven design

Domain-driven design (DDD) is a software development approach that emphasizes the definition of objects and system components and their behavior to reflect the reality. Only after the creation of such a model should you consider technical issues.

This approach enables IT modeling by experts who know the specifics of the problem but do not need to be familiar with the design of IT systems.

Domain-driven design recommends the use of specific design and architectural patterns.

The author of the term Domain-Driven Design is Eric Evans, the author of the first book on the subject: Domain-Driven Design: Tackling Complexity in the Heart of Software.
