Orłowo (Olecko district)

Orłowo is a village or settlement in the former Olecky District. The village was founded under the casket settlement in 1703, based on the Chełmno law on 23 rods and 23 morgages, for which after 7 free years they were to pay the first rent starting from St. Marcin 1711. The first location failed, because in 1710-1711, "the plague struck and the inhabitants protected it in the wilderness, and when they returned to abandoned homes, they found that all the corn devoured wild and domestic animals." The Forest Inspectorate of Lüderitz granted them an exemption from fees for another two years on 12 June 1712. The fees were to be paid in the amount of 15 marks from the tow, starting with St. Bibliography
