Young Film Workshop


The first one after the Second World War was a film training course organized in Kraków by Antoni Bohdziewicz in May 1945. It was equipped with workshops (Tadeusz Makarczyński), operator (F. Fuchs), academic (W. Dyner and S. Siedlecki) ), dramaturgy (Antoni Bohdziewicz) and music (J. Procner, W. Pawlowski). Young Film Workshop Building in Cracow

. The workshop was located in Cracow at ul. Where open lectures, film screenings and discussions were held, where they participated, among others, Konstanty Ildefons Gałczyński, Stefan Kisielewski, Czeslaw Milosz, Andrzej Panufnik, Jerzy Skarżyński and Kazimierz Wyka. In November, a training course was held at the One-Year Film Preparation Course, which was attended by Zbigniew Bochenek, Wojciech Jerzy Has, Mieczysław Jahoda, Jerzy Passierorfer and Jerzy Kawalerowicz. Practical lessons were supplemented with more general knowledge in the field of: aesthetics (R. Ingarden), art history (H. Blum and W. Tatarkiewicz), theatrology (T. Kudliński), film aesthetics (professor of psychology from the Jagiellonian University Stefan Szuman).

In November 1945, the WFM was renamed the Krakow Film Department of the Film Institute in Łódź and was subordinated to the State Enterprise "Film Polski" and the Film Institute in Cracow, the Film Institute of the Polish Army.
