16 mm film tape

16 mm film tape - 16 mm wide format photo media.

The tape was originally perforated on both sides, with a spacing of approximately 1 cm, followed by a one-sided (Super 16 mm) perforation. The frame of the next frame is exactly in the middle of each cut-out perforation. On the other side there is a soundtrack (optical recording of the sound as in a 35 mm tape).

The tape could also be perforated on both sides. It was used on television for reporting purposes, until the end of the 1970s (for the passing of TV studies on the U-Matic system). The tape is built on a combustible base (nitro) or non-flammable (aceto). Changing the type of substrate was forced for technical reasons - frequent projector fires, especially in the cinemas of the country during the period 1945-1960.

The tape was divided into acts of 60 mb length - a small roll and 100 mb - a one-roll.
