Chöch nuur
Chöb nuur (Chuch nuur, Chuchnuur) is a freshwater lake in northeastern Mongolia.
It lies at an altitude of 566 m. (according to other data 552 m n.p.m.) and is the lowest point in Mongolia. On the lake is the island Chüjs. The large number of fish, the presence of islands and the proximity of migration routes make this lake well known for its diverse waterfowl. In many tourist guides it is reported that Choch-nuur was held in 1206 kurittaj, which recognized Chian Chana as the leader of the people of the Great Step, but most scientific sources put this kurit at the source of Onon, so in another place.
