Fernando Tarrida del Marmol
Fernando Tarrida del Mármol (born August 2, 1861 in Havana, died in London in 1915) is an anarchist Cuban author from the Spanish roots.
In his youth, he was an advocate of republican federalism, from which he left after meeting Anselmo Lorenzo, the Spanish anarchist activist, at the age of 18, which meant breaking up relations with his family.
He studied engineering in Barcelona, Toulouse and Madrid; He was a professor and head of the Barcelona Polytechnic.
He wrote to the Spanish anarchist journals "Acracia", "La Revista Blanca" and "El Productor"; He collaborated with Francisco Ferrer's Modern School (Escuela Moderna).
He gained recognition in the field of the theory of anarchism through the concept of anarchy, which was proposed for the first time in an article in the journal La Révolte (1889), an idea he was a prominent proponent. by Max Nettlaua and Ricardo Mella.
From 1896 he was in exile first in France, then in Belgium, and finally in Great Britain, where he died in 1915.
