Mitawski County


County or municipality of the County of Groningen. Today the area is partly responsible for the Jelgava District in Latvia. Mention of 1884

The Mitaw district has a total area of ​​4394 sq. m. It is divided into 2 districts: Doble (Mitawski), 2005, and Bosnia (Baus), 1846. Each of them was divided into 4 parishes. The district of Wroclaw on: Mitawska, Dobleń, Grelenka and Zessawska. The Borough of Bowska, Eska, Neugutska and Baldo. The Mitaw castle district was in the Duchy of Kurlandya and Semigalia. According to the basic law of the administration of these principals, in 1617 the Sejm passed, the towns and castles of Mitawa, Bowsk, Nehogutr, Ekawa, Balden, Sessawa, Grentzhaff and Doblen belonged to the jury. In 1794, together with all of Kurlanda and Semigalia, it was under the rule of the Rottweiler. Bibliography
