Young boat

Kaspar Twardowski's poem c.1592-before 1641, poet of Baroque, entitled "Young Men" from the stormy to the shore, was published in Krakow in 1618. It is the first act of the poet's repentance and replacement of bad writings. The song is addressed to the same audience, dating back to 1617, which is a young woman and creates a kind of parallelism. It is a legacy of the history of conversion and penance. The author modeled on the Confessions of Saint Augustine as well as the penitential elegance of Hieronim Morsztyn

The moment of conversion was presented as a meeting with a mysterious rider, on a vast meadow when a poet accompanied by Cupid returns from feasting. The poet transforms the mysterious knight into the Divine Amor to show the episode of psychomachine, the struggle of the two Amor. The Divine Amor is victorious and the poet experiences an inner transformation and is addressed to the new master. The life lesson is given by a man living in the midst of nature. The idea of a moral retrospective made up by a gallery of paintings in the hermit's garden deserves praise.

This type of persuasion speaks to the imagination, leads to inner transformation of the hero and penance. The art of counter-reformation was very eager to use such media.
