Giovanni Migliorati


Giovanni Migliorati (born 1375 - died 16 October 1410 in Bologna) is an Italian Cardinal of the great schism of the West.

Initially he supported the "Roman" obedience. On 14 September 1400 he was appointed Archbishop of Ravenna thanks to the protection of his uncle, Cardinal Cosimo Gentile Migliorati. He never visited his archdiocese. In 1404 his uncle became "Roman" Pope Innocent VII and consul on June 12, 1405 he gave him a Cardinal nomination as the presbyter of Santa Croce in Gerusalemme, leaving him at the same time as administrator of the archdiocese of Ravenna. He participated in the 1406 conclave which elected Pope Gregory XII, but soon abandoned his obedience, joining the Council of Pisa. He died shortly after the choice of John XXIII's antiphon.
