Ministry of Love (minimiło) - a fictional ministry of George Orwell's book 1984. The ministry is the equivalent of a secret police called the Police of Thought and the Ministry of Justice. There are detention centers in the ministry building where prisoners of politics and ordinary bandits are held. The ministry deals with the control of citizens and, in the case of atypical behaviors, "treatment" involving torture and brainwashing. In recent chapters, Winston Smith is tortured in the ministry building.
