Old vine (slov. Old trumpet) - the oldest vine in the world, about 400 years old, located in Maribor, Slovenia.

Thanks to its age, it has been included in the Guinness Book of Records as the oldest vines in the world. The proof of the age of the vine are two pictures from 1657 and 1681, depicting the building with this vines. Currently they are located in the Stygian Regional Archives in Graz and the Regional Museum in Maribor. In 1972 prof. Dr. Rihard Erker, dendrologist at the University of Ljubljana, has conducted a study dating to at least 350 years and even 400 years old.

Each year the vines produce between 35 and 55 kilograms of grapes, from which about 100 bottles of wine are produced. Every year there is also a festival where grapes are harvested using traditional methods. Bibliography
