Salvador Elizondo


Salvador Elizondo (born December 19, 1932 in Mexico, March 29, 2006 in Mexico), Mexican writer, poet, publicist, and essayist.

He studied in his homeland, Paris, Cambridge. He made his debut in the 1960 collection of Poemas poems. He was the author of essay collections (Luchino Visconti), novels and prose volumes, consisting of various stylistic works (classic stories, but also poetic prose or philosophical reflections). In 1966 he published an autobiography. For 25 years he was a professor at the Universidad Nacional Autónoma de México. He was awarded several times, receiving the Premio Nacional de Literature in 1990.
