Vodka "Koneser"
Teatr Wytwórnia - Warsaw's off-street theater.
The theater was located in Warsaw at Ząbkowska 27/31 (entrance: the corner of Markowska and Bialystok streets), near the Vilnius Railway Station. It was from November 2005 to December 2010.
The theater was founded by a group of dramatists and directors: Janusz Owsiany, Małgorzata Owsiany, Radek Dobrowolski, Jacek Papis and Monika Powalisz in postindustrial buildings in the Vodka Koneser Plant. In August 2005 they renovated the vodka factory by building a stage, rehearsal room, dressing room. At the end of the renovation of the state funds were created fire stairs. November was the first premiere.
At the Theater there was a Mini Label - a stage for children and a school of contemporary dance - a dance studio. Workshops in Prague or Move It included work with the body, motion and work with the image and sound. The theater also organized "Terminating at Masters" - dramaturgical and directing workshops for high school students. In addition to dramatic productions, the productions of the theater of dance and the reading of contemporary dramas included visual exhibitions.
Teatr Wytwórnia in August 2006 organized the first edition of the Prague Theater Review Hajdpark, which was held every year in the summer. The "WIK Wprost i Kultura" ("WIK Wprost i Kultura") has awarded the Teatr "Znak na Tak!". The Theater at Markowska also received the "Children's Friendly Capital" award.
The theater closed in December 2010.
The owner of the whole area of Wytwórnia Wódek Koneser is planning an apartment complex on this site. In the future, "Koneser" will continue to promote Prague's artistic events and support the cultural trends of Warsaw's right-bank transformation.
