Coat of arms

Coat of arms

In the coat of arms of Paczków, there is a golden eagle on the dial. John the Evangelist turned right, holding an olive branch of green. The first coat of arms of the city appeared on the seal of the end of the 13th century and represented half of the prince's eagle and six lilies, symbolizing belonging to the Bishop of the Duchy of Nysa. The second seal from the middle of the fourteenth century is similar to the modern one - the only difference was the ribbon with the inscription IN PRINCIPIO ERAT VERB / um (The beginning was the word - the beginning of the Gospel of John), held in claw by the eagle.
