Heterodox economics

heterodox economics (heterosexual heterosexuality, heterodoxia in Plato's disregard for philosophy other than its own). Economics majors not included in the mainstream economics because of the different research methods and the subject matter of the analysis.

Heterodox designers use descriptive and historical research methods. They reject the concept of homo oeconomicus. They analyze economic phenomena in many aspects (social, political, psychological, historical, etc.). They use an evolutionary approach to the economy.

The heterodox economy includes: historical school, institutionalism along with its contemporary variants, evolutionary economics, neo-australian school, and James M. Buchanan public choice theory.
