Homotope theory
Homology theory - a division of algebraic topology associated with the theory of homology. Homotopy theory deals with the study of the "shape" of topological spaces, comparing them with well-known spaces of type (multidimensional) spheres. The basic tool of this theory is the concept of homotopy and the homotopy equivalent of continuous mapping. Homotopy theory is a powerful tool for modern differential geometry. The origins of homotopy theory can be traced back to the work of Henri Poincaré. The Polish mathematician, Karol Borsuk, contributed greatly to this theory. Bibliography
