Viral necrosis


Viral necrosis (VNN) - marine viral disease, caused by viruses from the group of betanorides. Betanodoviruses also cause VER - viral encephalopathy and retinopathy (viral encephalopathy and retinopathy). These diseases are found in a number of marine fish farming all over the world. The disease mainly affects fish during breeding. The pathomorphic image of VNN and VER consists of necrosis and vacuolisation of peripheral nervous tissue and central nervous system and retina. Sick fish are recognized after abnormal movement. VNN and VER are carried both vertically and horizontally within the population. Some species of fish that have been infected with VNN and / or VER: Epinephelus septemfasciatus, Engraulis japonicus, Chanos chanos, Selene vomer, Hippoglossus hippoglossus, Salmo salar.
