Jerzy Stuchs
Jerzy Stuchs (died 1517) - one of the eminent Nuremberg printers, he also worked in Cracow. In the printing press, two sons and a trained staff assisted him. As a result, he was able to travel a lot and publish at the same time, and the prints without a place of print probably came from those journeys.
At the request of Jan Haller and the privilege of Fryderyk Jagiellonian, he stamped the Cracow Missal in two editions: one in folio, the other in quarto. In the Missale in quarto there are two types of canon woodcuts: one small on a primitive drawing reflected on paper, the other on a parchment, representing a high artistic level. Bibliography
