Mathematical economics

Mathematical Economics - a course in economics dealing with the study of widely understood economic phenomena using advanced mathematical techniques such as time series analysis or dynamic programming. The present-day economy is increasingly referring to these methods (for example by general equilibrium models), but the division into mathematical and institutional currents in economics is still visible.

One of the basic issues in mathematical economics is the models of economic growth and the search for work.

The branch of knowledge related to mathematical economics is econometrics, but the paths of both teachings have been very different after the publication of Lucas's critique. Additional literature
