Wroclaw City Information System - a visual information system, modeled on the Warsaw Municipal Information System.
The first elements of the SIM in Wroclaw were set up in 2007 (pedestrians' signposts pointing to the monuments in the city center in brown). Since April 2008, the installation of signposts for drivers in white and brown has begun.
The main landmarks for the drivers according to the system are Grunwaldzki Square, John Paul II Square, Center, Main Railway Station and Wroclaw Airport (white boards) as well as monuments Cathedral, Town Hall, Centenary Hall (brown plaques). Placements are also located near the objects to which the board directs eg Wroclaw University, Customs Office, City Hall or Academic Clinical Hospital (blue background). Address information by SIM
The next elements of the SIM in Wroclaw are number plates of the property and street names, brown in the Old Town and blue in the rest of the city. The first table with the number of the property was hanged at the Office of Civil Status at ul.Wlodkowica (brown color). At the beginning of June, plaques with their names appeared: Jacek Kuronia (Huby), Jacek Kaczmarski and Marek Petrusewicz (Szczecin). Within a few years, all street names should be listed in accordance with the new Urban Information System.
