Stanisław Kielich
Stanisław Kielich (born November 10, 1925 in Czempiła, died October 15, 1993 in Poznan) - physicist, founder of Poznań Nonlinear Optics School, organizer and chair of international non-linear optics conference (Poznan), one of the most cited Polish scientists In the second half of the 20th century, he was a pupil of Arkadiusz Piekary and a teacher of several generations of physicists. He was a member of PPR in 1947-1948. Since 1948 he belonged to the PZPR. In 1955 he graduated from the Faculty of Mathematics and Physics of Poznań University.
He obtained his doctorate in 1961, habilitation in 1964, the title of associate professor. in 1971 and professor. in 1976. He was a correspondent of the Polish Academy of Sciences (1983) and wrote over 300 publications. Molecular Nonlinear Optics. He was also a multiple winner of awards and decorations.
