(5571) Lesliegreen
(5571) Lesliegreen - asteroid belt asteroid circling the Sun within 5 years and 91 days in the mean distance of 3.02 AU. She was discovered on 1 June 1978 at the Southern European Observatory by Karl Kamper. The name of the asteroid comes from Leslie Green (born 1931), invariably 40 years since 1967 as a treasurer of the Junior Astronomical Society (now the Society for Popular Astronomy). The name was proposed by R.A. Scagell. Prior to the official name, the planet was given a temporary designation (5571) 1978 LG. Bibliography
