Discharge (lat. discharge - exemption) - customary completion of higher education without a diploma. Discharge as an entry in the index is obtained after passing all the exams and completing the credits required by the program of studies. Obtaining a discharge is a prerequisite for the defense of a diploma thesis.

Discharge does not entitle you to use a professional title. "Higher education incomplete" as a wrong synonym

It is often a mistake to use the term "incomplete higher education" as an equivalent synonym for discharge. The term "incomplete higher education" does not exist as a type of education.
