Edi Shukriu (born October 22, 1950 in Prizren) is an Albanian writer and publicist, Kosovo politician.

Curriculum vitae

After graduating from Prizren High School, she studied archeology at the University of Belgrade. She completed her studies in 1979 and her doctorate in history from Pristina University in 1990. She is currently lecturing at the Faculty of Philosophy at the University of Pristina. Since December 2012 he has been a correspondent member of the Kosovo Academy of Sciences and Arts.

Since 2004, a member of the PEN Club in Kosovo, since 1973, belongs to the Association of Writers of Kosovo. Twice elected to the parliament of Kosovo (1992-1998 and 2002-2004). In the years 2000-2001 he directed the Department of Culture at UNMIK. In the Kosovar parliament she was at the head of the cultural, youth and sports committee. Since 1990 linked to the Democratic League of Kosovo (LDK). Founder of the Women's Forum, operating at LDK.
