Krzysztof Jajuga


Krzysztof Jajuga (born April 11, 1956 in Wroclaw) is a professor of economics at the University of Economics in Wroclaw. In his research work, he focuses on finance, statistics and econometrics. Curriculum vitae

In 1979, he obtained a master's degree from the Wrocław University of Economics. He continued his scientific career at this university, obtaining his doctoral degree in 1982 on the basis of the work entitled " Methods of multidimensional analysis in quantitative spatial studies. In 1987, he received a habilitation on the basis of his dissertation. Economic statistics of complex phenomena - detection and analysis of heterogeneous multivariate distributions. Since 1992 - professor of economic sciences. Currently the head of the Department of Financial Investment and Risk Management, as well as the director of the Institute of Financial Management at the University of Economics in Wroclaw.

He is the deputy chairman of the Committee on Statistics and Econometrics of the Polish Academy of Sciences, deputy chairman of the Committee for Financial Sciences of the Polish Academy of Sciences, member of the Bureau of the Economic Sciences Committee of the Polish Academy of Sciences, a member of the Academic Advisory Committee, the Professional Risk Managers International Association (PRMIA) and the president of the CFA Society of Poland. He is also a member of the Scientific Council of the National Bank of Poland.

Author of numerous publications. Among them are 18 books.
