Maryla Strzembosz
Maria Strzembosz from the house of Dawidowska ps. Jagoda (born 3 September 1922, died July 23, 2007 in Warsaw) is a scout, nurse of the battalion "Zośka". Maria Strzembosz, known as Maryla, was the daughter of Aleksey Dawidowski, the director of the Warsaw Rifle Factory in Wola and Janina of Sagatowskie - chemist and sister of Alka Dawidowski. In the autumn of 1939 Father Maryli and Alka were arrested and shot dead when he refused to cooperate with the Germans. His mother was arrested three years later, first to Pawiak and then to Ravensbrück camp.
She was a student of the Middle School and Junior High School. J. Słowacki in Warsaw. During the occupation she attended the Warsaw Nursing School and worked at the. Baby Jesus. She belonged to the Assault Group of Gray Ranks, then served in the battalion Zośka as a nurse. In July 1944, she left Warsaw for vacation and did not participate in the Warsaw Uprising.
After the war she studied at the Jagiellonian University in Cracow. She worked as a nursing teacher.
She was the wife of Tomasz Strzembosz and the mother of Dorota and Maciej, film producer. Bibliography
