The war in Utah took place between 1857-1858 between the Mormon settlers from Utah and the federal government of the United States. The war ended with the victory of the federal army, which defeated the Mormon mobs. There were no regular battles during the war. The losses from the war were mostly material, although about 100 civilians died on the Mormon side, and during the Massacre at Mountain Meadows the Mormons and the Pajai Indians were massacred to the Arkansas settlers in Arkansas.
