The parameter that tracking changes is interliterary - this is not precise, because it is not just the distance between letters, but also generally - the distance between all characters, including non-printing characters, ie, different types of spaces . Tracing the tracking also affects the behavior of the tabs (causing a jump at the appropriate time). Tracking does not affect the width of the characters themselves.

As you increase your writing scale, tracking values ​​should decrease so that the text is still as natural looking and easy to read. In advanced computer programs to regulate this dependency are special, editable for each font and its variations tables.

The second, next to tracking, is the kerning interval variable, which is the kerning (defining the distance in the font for each character pair), whereas the lines between the lines are the leading one.
