Alex I

Aleksa I (died after 4 p.n.) - Herod's grandfather.

Its origin is unknown. He was a trusted friend and friend of Herod the Great. About 20 p.n.e. He married his sister Salome I. It is believed that this marriage was the vicar of Idumei. Earlier this position was held by former Salome husband Kostobar I, lost for conspiring against his brother-in-law.

In 4 p.n. Salome and Alexas were called by the dying Herod to murder all the men he had imprisoned on the Jerodo hippodrome. After Herod's death, they decided to act against the will of the deceased and to release the people there. Alekas had the son of Alexander II of Kalleas, who married unknown daughter Salome from his first marriage to Joseph I. Bibliography
