Cyrenaicy
Cyrene - a philosophical school in ancient Greece founded by Aristophanes of Cyrene.
Cyrenaides thought that practical issues were more important than theoretical ones. Knowledge is provided only by the senses. We know our own states and not the things that cause them. Pleasure is the only good, because we seek for it, and the unpleasantness is evil. Pleasure is a transient state, momentary, lasting only, while the stimulus is active. This partial pleasure is the goal of life, happiness is only a piece of partial pleasure. You have to grab every one that comes. Pleasure is bodily in nature, is a positive state (hedonism).
Arystyp denied that lack of suffering and distress was a pleasure. He claimed that pleasure is the movement that takes place within us. Pleas differ only in intensity but not in quality. Everything is just as good if it gives you equal pleasure. This position was questioned by many school representatives. For example, Hegeiah thought that the only pleasure that could be achieved was the lack of concern and anxiety. For this reason, the condition of pleasure is the renunciation of goods, indifference, and finally death, which alone can deliver us from persistence.
