Romex Stayman

Romex Stayman is a bridge bidding convention, a variant of the Stayman convention used in the Romex auction system, and can also be used in other systems after a natural, strong 2N opening. You should also use transfers for older colors.

3 ♣ after 2N is promised to at least one of the older four, the 5-5 is also possible but without ambition (then start with the transfer), the opening rebid looks like this: 3 ♦ 4 peaks possible 3 ♥ 4-5 hearts, without four peaks 3 ♠ 5 peaks 3BA 4-4 in older colors After 3 ♦, 3 ♥ is a relay that asks for four peaks (3 ♠ - I have four peaks, 3N - I do not have), and 3 ♠ shows 5 peaks and 4 hearts. <3> After 3 ♥, 3 ♠ is a relay with at least three hearts (3BA - 4 hearts, 4 in the youngest - 5 hearts and cue-bid).

There is also another version of this convention: 3 ♦ 2-3 kiery, 2-4 piki 3 ♥ 4 hearts, possible 4 spades 3 ♠ 5 peaks 3BA 5 hearts

After the rebate 3 ♦, the respondent may ask the 3 ♥ / relay relay for the length of the second suit:
