Zaskar - mountains in Central Asia, the Himalayas, areas of India, China and Nepal. These mountains stretch about 700 km. They separate the province of Zanskar from Ladakh in the state of Jammu and Kashmir.

The mountains of Zaskar are built of different types of sedimentary and metamorphic rocks. These mountains consist of numerous massifs, mountain ranges and plateaus. The highest mountain of the Kamet mountains, which rises to a height of 7756 m n.p.m. The highest parts of the mountains are very strongly glaciated.

There are numerous river valleys in these mountains and a well-developed climatic and vegetation layer here.
