Grigorij Łobow


Григорий Петрович Лобов (born 1878 in Russia, died after 1944) - Russian military (major general), cooperated with Germans during World War II.

He graduated from the Cracow junior military school in Novosibirsk. Served as an officer in the 30th Cavalry regiment of the Kozaki dynasty. On October 5, 1910, he was promoted to the rank of podsauła. He then served in the 9th Cavalry regiment of the Kozaki dońskich. He participated in the First World War in the ranks of the 26th Cavalry regiment of the Kozaki dońskich. In 1918 he joined the Cossack army of white. On April 1, 1919, he was promoted to Major General. He commanded a cavalry division of the Kozaki Drones, and from October 24 this year - 4 cavalry divisions of the Kozaki dońskich. In the spring of 1920, it was transferred to the reserve of the Polish Army. In the summer of this year he became the chairman of the military court at the staff headquarters of the Polish Corps. After evacuating from Crimea to Gallipoli in November 1920, he became the nominal commander of the 3rd Cavalry Regiment of the Cossacks, serving this function until 1930. From 1921 he lived in Plovdiv. During the Second World War he cooperated with Germans. He participated in the formation of Cossack military units in the service of the German army. On September 16, 1944, he was arrested in Bulgarian Communist guerrillas and sent to Soviet SMIERS. In October of this year he was sent to SMIERSZ staff at the 37th Army in Stara Zagora. Further fates are unknown.
