Leveling network


Leveling network - a collection of points marked in the field using geodetic marks (markers). The elevation (ordinates) of geodetic signs are determined by measurements - usually by grading.

With the leveling network, the concept of elevation is defined with the height of the points determined by sea level. In Poland, the system is Kronstadt.

The leveling network is used for business purposes, including: map preparation and construction work. It is also used for scientific purposes such as: Earth shape research or geodynamic research.
