Finn Methling


Finn Methling (born 8 August 1917 in Copenhagen, died 20 October 2010) is a Danish playwright.

The son of a theater director. He studied the history of Danish literature. He made his debut in 1946 with the In Extremes - Tanker og Bekendelser ved et nyt Verdensbillede ("Meditation and Confession of a New World"), which is his writing program. The most important assumptions of this program were to be interested in metaphysical matters. Most of the pieces of Methling are characterized by naive fascination with the world and naive poetics. In addition to stage arts, he also wrote for radio and television. He is also the author of poems and screenplays.
