Orchestra 56 of the Wielkopolska Infantry Regiment - Orchestra of the 56th Infantry Regiment in the garrison of Krotoszyn, in the years 1919-1939.
56th Orchestra of the Wielkopolska Infantry Regiment had a significant contribution to the development of the musical culture, not only to the regiment but also to the city where the unit was stationed.
It was organized in Grodzisk Wielkopolski under the command of Ochla, under the command of the SZP Headquarters in the former Prussian partition on March 24, 1919. The next chaplains were: cplm. Stefan Wastak (1921-1927), cf. Władysław Sadowski (1927-19370) and p. kplm.
The regimental orchestra was one of the most distinctive, especially since the leadership of the regimental leader, Sadowski. The level achieved by the orchestra was high in the contests organized by the Corps Command No. VII in Poznan, as well as the trips that were the prize for distinguished bands, to Busko Zdroju 1934 and Iwonicz Zdrój 1935 and a concert in front of the microphones of the Polish Radio in Poznan on 5 June. 1936.
