Teodor Torosiewicz

He graduated in Vienna. He lived and worked in Lviv, where he owned a pharmacy equipped with a laboratory where he conducted his chemical analyzes. By setting the chemical composition of curative waters he contributed to the development of many spas in the south-eastern region of Poland and gained recognition in the scientific world. He was an honorary member of many scientific societies in Poland and abroad. In 1849 he published a collective work titled " Mineral resources in the Kingdom of Galicia and in Bukowina in terms of physico-chemical properties described.

He also worked on colored medical glass. As the first to describe and apply the methods and benefits of storing medicinal products in stained glass.

In the years 1860-1876 he was an honorary member of the Poznań Society of Friends of Science.

He died in Lviv and was buried at the local Lychakiv cemetery. Bibliography
