Knight Abdank Skarbek from Gór - a literary figure, created by Henryk Sienkiewicz in the novel The Teutonic Knights. One of the greatest knights, "whose fame was thundering widely in Poland and abroad."

The figure was based on the authentic figure - Jakub Skarbek from the Mountain (died 1438) knight in the service of King Sigismund of Luxemburg, from 1410 in the service of King Władysław II Jagiełło, who distinguished himself in battle at Grunwald.
