Eduard shrub
Eduard shrub Eduard Strauch (born August 17, 1906 in Essen, died September 15, 1955 in Uccle) was a Nazi war criminal during World War II, commander of Einsatzkommando 2 and SS-Obersturmbannführer.
He was born in Essen. He studied theology. In 1931 he joined the Allgemeine SS, and in 1934 to the SD. During the Second World War, he led the Einsatzkommand 2, which served as part of the Einsatzgruppe A. His unit murdered around 10600 Jews in the region of Riga. In December 1941 he became commander of Sipo and SD in present-day Belarus. May 31, 1944 he was transferred to Belgium (Wallonia) and there he held the office of commander Sipo and SD.
After the war, he was arrested and tried in the Einsatzgruppen trial. He was sentenced to death. He was subsequently sentenced to death by the Belgian authorities for the crimes committed in that country. There he was sentenced to death. He died at Uccle Hospital in 1955 before the judgment.
