Lithuanian Academy of Sciences (Lietuvos mokslų akademija, LMA) - an independent scientific institution in Lithuania.
It was founded on 16 January 1941 on the initiative of Vincasa Krėvė-Mickevičius, who was its first president. Under the laws of 1991, 1993 and 2003, it is treated as a private entity. Its head has been professors since 2003. Zenonas Rudzikas. The Academy is located in Vilnius. Struktura
