Timan
Timan, Timanski ridge (Timiskij križa) - a mountain range in the northern part of the Eastern European Lowlands.
Timan stretches from the Barents Sea coast of the Banyan Sea in the northwest to the upper course of the South East. It separates the Pécs Valley in the east from the Mezy Valley and the Western Highlands. On the southern edge, it connects with the North Fork and the western foothills of the Northern Urals.
The length of the band is approximately 900 km. The Pichy River Valley of Pajamas and Mežežský pajamas are divided into the northern, central and southern parts. The northern part consists of chains of low hills - Czaicinski Stone (Bolszaja Kowriga, 303 m n.p.m.), Kosmiński Stone, Tobyska Vineyard. The central part is slightly higher hills - Czetłaski Stone (463 m n.p.m.), Grzęda Górnowymska. The southern part of the strip is a plateau, cut into river valleys on separate ridges ("parmy") - Oczparma (Otchurk, 324 m n.p.m.), Żezymparma.
Timan is an eroded patch of old Caledonian orogeny mountains. It is built mainly of old sedimentary rocks with the transformation of rocks and granite and siuenite intrusion. The northern part of the band covers the tundra, the south - the taiga.
Timan and the Peak Valley are mineral deposits - titanium ores, bauxite and hydrocarbons. Bibliography
