Turkish honey - a kind of sweets traditionally sold in Cracow at the gates of the All Saints' Cemetery and on the Day of Sorrow. It is also sometimes available at churches during autumn festivals.
Turkish honey is a form of irregular, hard nectar with a slightly honey flavor that can break or slightly crumble, and its basic ingredient is caramelized sugar with added aromatic oils and dyes, which are crushed with crushed nuts. In the classic cream flavor the caramel color is whitish, but there are other types, depending on the flavors and flavors used, such as cocoa, coffee and vanilla honeys.
Honey is usually sold in ready-made portions wrapped in transparent film cones, sometimes in paper bags, in unevenly crushed, small pieces. Lesser pieces of honey were once also removed from the larger pieces and weighed by the hawker. Bibliography
