Meninges (latin meninges) - membranes composed of connective tissue surrounded by brain and spinal cord. Their function is to protect the brain from mechanical injuries, and the cerebrospinal fluid between them functions as a depot.

In many places, the spiderweb connects to the soft tire via the bands and trays. In other areas, both tires move away from each other, forming a spherical subarachnoideal space filled with cerebrospinal fluid (Latin spatium subarachnoideale).
