Emanuel Hannak
Emanuel Franz Adam Hannak (born 30 May 1841 in Cieszyn, died 27 February 1899 in Vienna) is a pedagogue and historian, author of school textbooks.
Raised by his grandfather in Cieszyn, in the years 1850-1859 he was a pupil of that junior high school. He graduated from the University of Vienna with a degree in history and ancient languages. In 1864 he received his doctorate in philosophy. From 1872 he was director of the Regional Teachers' Seminary in Wiener Neustadt. From 1881 he was director of the Pedagogics in Vienna, and finally - head of the first female gymnasium in Vienna. Bibliography
