Hunting trophy, hunted trophy - a properly crafted, inedible part of a hunted or captured animal, a hunter's or angler's catch for a successful hunt or catch. Trophies also play a didactic and research role. The trophy trophy is considered to be a body part characteristic of a particular species, such as skin, fur, feathers, chills (antlers or horns), skull, teeth and claws.
Some trophies are subject to marking, prizes (initial and final), and registration in the Central Trophy Register. Record hunting trophies are subject to legal protection in Poland - they can only be exported abroad for display at specialized exhibitions.
