The Principality of Trembowelskie

The Duchy of Trembowelskie - a duchy existing in the mid-twelfth century on the border of the Principality of Halicki and Kievan Rus. Its capital is Trembowla.

The Duchy was founded in 1084, as the younger of the sons of Rościsława - Wasylka, given by the will of Veshevod I.

The Duchy was secured as a heritage of Vasyl by the decision of the convention in Lubec. In that year, 1097 Prince Vladimir Ivoryvich Vladimir-Vyacheslav caught and blinded Vasyl, trying to occupy his duchy at the same time. However, the Vasilian brothers - Ruryk and Volodar caused the release of his brother, devastating the land of the Volhynia, belonging to David.

The decision of the withdrawal of Vasylka Wyszyrk was deprived of the Duchy of Trembowelski, but Rościsławicze did not comply with these arrangements. At the death of Vasylka in 1124, his heirs were ruled there until Wladymirko Volodarovich, already a prince of Halice, was taken over by him in 1141. The Duchy of Trembowelsk has entered Halicki this year. Kniaziowie Trembowli Bibliography
