Bran (son of Febala) is the hero of the Irish travel story of Bran Shipping.

Bran's journey begins when he discovers a silver apple tree branch covered with white flowers. At the meeting with relatives came a mysterious woman, singing about wonderful islands beyond the sea. The next day, the twenty-seven crews from the clan sailed west. Shortly after, they met the god of the sea, ManannĂ¡n mac Lira, who rode in the waves in his chariot, who also told them of the wonderful islands. Already at that time the sea appeared to them as a plain full of flowers and fruit trees. On the same day they reached the Island of Happiness, where they felt unbridled hilarity.

In the evening they reached Avalon, the Women's Island. The queen of beautiful women asked Bran to go ashore, but the hero feared. So the queen threw a ball of thread, which he clung to Bran's hand, and with the help of spells she drew a boat. After landing, the Irish heroes found all the comforts of the island. The stay on the island seemed short lived, but in fact they spent many years there.

Finally, one of the travelers was missing the house and persuaded Bran to go home. The female queen warned the hero not to go to land. Upon reaching the shores of Ireland, Bran realized that no one recognized him and that he was known as a legendary traveler who long ago set out on a great journey to the underworld. The fulfillment of this was when one of his companions ignored the warning and went to the land and turned to dust. Seeing this, Bran set sails and sailed. Bibliography
