Carina

Carina - type of sailboat, single-hull, ballast or ballast-swing type.

Its length is 5.96 meters, 2.11 meters wide, and the sail area is about 16 m². Height from KLW 8.5 m. The hull is laminate, has 4 berths, no secluded galley and kingston. In Poland permitted for inland waterway and inland waterway navigation. Produced in Maritime Yachting Shipyard im. L. Teligi in Szczecin in the 1970s.

The "inland" version - ballast-sword with ballast under keel equipped with movable sword and steering fins, "sea" version - ballast with bulblecle and steer, stormer and electrical installation for compulsory lighting.

Carina Ballast-Sword is weak in sharp courses and is generally ungrateful to sailing in too weak or strong winds due to high sides, small side surfaces (underwater) and non-calibration.

Very good nautical values are presented by Carina ballast, but immersion (about 100 cm) makes it difficult to navigate the inland waterways.

Yacht difficult to transport on land. Due to the ballast requires a special, non-standard trailer.
