Damaged pixel
Pixel defect - factory defect of liquid crystal displays (LCDs) or dies of digital cameras / digital cameras / webcams (generally CCDs).
It is in the form of a full-blown pixel (white, ie all 3 RGB colors, or one of them) - a "hot pixel" or a non-shining pixel (black) - "dead pixel" / p>
In the case of photosensitive dies, when a dead pixel is present, the pixel does not capture light, resulting in a small spot in the image (image, video, etc.). In the case of CCD and "hot pixels" it is difficult to see them - they are only visible at long exposure time.
In the case of LCD, their acceptable quantity is determined by the TCO standards (see def TCO'92 95/99/03) established by the Swedish TCO Development organization within the framework of the Tjästemännen Centralorganisation.
