Karol Bahrke
Karol Bahrke (also Barke, born March 16, 1868 in Volkino, probably in 1935) is a Polish printer and publisher, also an editor of the magazine.
He was active in the Mazury region, contributing to the creation of many people's reading rooms. In 1896 he bought a printing house in Elk. He published Polish leaflets and brochures.
In 1896 he became a co-founder of the Mazurian People's Party. In his print shop he published her main press organ - "Gazeta Ludowa" in circulation of 2 000 copies. He was her editor. An election committee was set up around the newspaper, which ran agitation for Polish MPs. As a result, Bahrk was threatened with a press release and imprisonment. Endangered in 1898 left Mazury and in 1904 emigrated permanently to the United States.
Its name is called street in the Konieczki housing estate.
